Curriculum, Learning & Teaching Audit

11/10/2012

It is with great pleasure and pride that I can confirm that Scottville State School was highly successful in our recent Curriculum, Teaching & Learning Audit. The work we showcased has been achieved in the short time I have been here and I wish to publicly praise and acknowledge the great efforts of the team I have working alongside me. In general the audit report card looks different to those done in 2012 and no one specific ranking is given for each of the 8 Domains we were assessed in, however, it is clear to see in the highlighted indicators that we have scored the following;

  • predominately indicators are highlighted in the HIGH range

  • a few OUTSTANDING indicators have been highlighted in Domain 1 – An Explicit Improvement Agenda and Domain 8 – Effective Teaching Practices

  • a couple of indicators are highlighted in the MEDIUM range in Domain 2 – Analysis and Discussion of Data and Domain 4 – Targeted Use of School Resources

The Executive Summary (PDF, 781 KB), including Commendations, Affirmations and Recommendations, and the 8 page profile (PDF, 252 KB) have been uploaded to our school website and I encourage those interested to have a look as these documents.  These documents will assist me in discussions with staff and P&C to determine priority areas which we will be addressing in 2013.  A Fact sheet (PDF, 439 KB) for parents and carers is also available for download.
